The welding principle of the Solid State High Frequency Welder in the high-frequency tube mill is based on electromagnetic induction.

Solid State High Frequency Welder

The Solid State High Frequency Welder in the high-frequency tube mill operates on the principle of electromagnetic induction. It involves the generation of a high-frequency alternating current (AC) in the welding coil, which creates a magnetic field around it. As the steel strip passes through this magnetic field, the magnetic lines of force induce electrical currents (eddy currents) in the strip.

The rapid and continuous change in the direction of the magnetic field causes these eddy currents to flow in opposite directions along the edges of the steel strip. Due to the resistance offered by the material, these eddy currents generate intense localized heat at the edges. As a result, the edges of the steel strip are heated to a plastic state, and they are pressed together to form a strong and seamless weld.

This high-frequency welding process is highly efficient and enables the rapid production of high-quality steel pipes with precise and consistent welds. The utilization of electromagnetic induction for welding in the high-frequency tube mill ensures minimal energy loss, making it an ideal choice for modern steel pipe manufacturing processes.
